Hi all.  Want to get you opinion on a couple phones I am looking to possibly get for a back-up.  Looking at either a Moto X Pure(2015) or Nexus 6P.  The Moto X Pure I can get for about $100 less.  I know Butchieboy is loving his Moto X Pure and it seems as Kenny is really enjoying it to.  Should I save $100 and get the Moto X Pure?  Any input is appreciated.
I'll answer that for them haha...jk..

Yes to Moto X...great phone, well rounded and tons of support.

Will do...been playing with it and just got off of a few phone calls. The ear buds are really nice. High quality.

The S Pen is on another level as I use the pen a lot. Really am liking the finer point and the sensitivity is amazing.

The screen...very bright and vibrant. Watching Netflix and some 4k movies from my USB...great screen. The infinity edge really does something....I'm digging it...

The stock software is the best I've seen. We all know MM is that breath of fresh air...

I'll elaborate more on it later,  but RAM management is nice.

How's it going guys. Hope everyone is doing well. Successful server maintenance as you can see and all is smooth sailing :)

I saw some posts about browsers. Here are some of my favorites if you're interested in giving it a shot.

If you like Firefox, you'll like: Fennec and/or Pale Moon, which are both based off of Firefox backbone.

Fennec has all the binaries removed, debloated and is super light. Pale Moon is pretty light as well.

I like Puffin Browser as well for when I need to run flash. It seems to work well when I stream live games.

Have a great one!

Ok one more and I'll probably call it a night lol. With the n6, I have a minor (re: MAJOR) annoyance. No gallery! I have no clue why google took gallery2 out of the aosp build, but heres a zip to put it back. Flash in recovery and should be good to go. Also included the libs to enable the editing in the apk too
Great stuff...goodness...couldn't imagine life without a gallery lol.

I've used the White Note 4 and the Black Note 4 Edge so that you could distinguish it better.
Thanks man I appreciate that, It didnt make the choice any easier but thats my fault because now i want them both. :-\ they are suck nice devices its hard to decide. I will go into att to get a feel for the edge button and see if that will be a deal breaker. The watch was suck a easy choice the notes not so much. lol

I hear ya...it's a tough choice. I'm beginning to like the N4 Edge more and more...there's a lot of neat apps in the Playstore too...tons more than before...

Either way you can't go wrong. The two devices for me is literally 50/50 on the scale. I'm about to order a glass screen protector that actually wraps around the curved edge! I'm having my cousin in S.Korea mail it to me. Once I get it, I'll post it up...if anyone you or anyone is interested in that glass I'll make it happen for you guys to get them. As we know, not all glass is created equal which is why I'm done with the cheapos found online...

There are some pretty nice cases for the N4 Edge as well. Keep us posted!

Here you go Gar76....

As you can see the Note 4 Edge does utilize the second screen in most of the apps. Even when on the Home screen you can see that the wallpaper droops over the side. I'm not sure exactly how wide the side panel is inch wise (160 pixels), however, it does add onto the 5.6" screen so together it's larger...Not all apps will utilized any of the side panel...but the ones that do make it bigger than the regular Note 4's 5.7".

The side screen also doesn't get in the way either when typing....I had first thought that it would, but it doesn't.

Hope this helps...

Enjoy....

Wow this place this great. you guys have all the info anyone needs on the best devices. So much information its hard to keep up once you miss a day. A couple of questions for you guys if you don't mind. I just got a gear s and was wondering what are must have apps also I have been thinking about buying a note edge or note 4 from tmo. which would be the better choice or are they the same just different screen.

Hello there! Welcome....

I just bought a Note 4 Edge as Mega has mentioned and it's been a blast. The N4 Edge is identical to the Note 4 with a few exceptions.

It is a tad bit wider and instead of the power button on the right hand side on the Note 4, the N4 Edge is on the top due to the curved glass that runs along the right side.

The N4 Edge is advertised as 5.6" instead of 5.7", HOWEVER....in most apps you actually get a larger viewing area (width wise) over the Note 4.

Ex. When you open up the browser, the screen actually goes past the 5.6" to give you actually what seems like a 5.8" or more...as it droops over the right side into the side panel LCD. It's actually pretty nifty.

I'll get some pictures posted in a sec....brb.
Hello iunlock, thank you for the info on the edge. I would definitely appreciate any comparison and info on the two devices. been searching the and looking for the note 4 you guys have mentioned, the t not t3 correct. I have seen that it has become rare to find a note 4 that's not t3. I will be definitely be getting one in a week or so just have to make a choice.

Anytime. My pleasure....

I'm about to upload the pictures now...

Also, keep an eye on the classifieds section as I may or may not be posting some more Note 4's on there :) It's so rare...the N4's that's still on KK 4.4 that is...

Update: Okay guys...things are getting real. The N4's still on KK 4.4 is extremely rare. Almost non existent now. I'm definitely keeping some of the ones I have, but this one is still up for grabs. I've bought another one off of my buddy who upgrade to a Note 5. I'm the only one that's worked on his phone from the start since he got it around the same time I did so I know it's pure KK 4.4 for sure. It's the same as my personal device. I may be putting some more up for sale only for AU as I don't need 4 phones looking pretty on my desk. I just need one back up.
