Great to be here Mega (free at last! lol)

Yeah 5.1.1 has been a bit of a headache to build at first (compared to 5.0.1), but it's coming along...

The base itself runs well though. I've only used it a little so far, but it feels snappier and smoother (as in somewhat more than just placebo). The recent button also opens really fast, like the way it is supposed to work in the first place lol. The battery stats are a little different too, showing a section for apps that use too much power when the screen is off. Seems interesting. Too early for me to comment on battery life, but I'm hopeful... (not that I actually need more battery life on this phone, but hey why not).

Thats good it's a legit improvement at least... Well have to see if all the baggage will be worth it or not... Tmo still hasn't released their build so I figure something def not right somewhere ... Can you guys still downgrade back?

Yeah this one does seem more substantial than the last few updates from Sammy. I'll share the deodexed base once I get it running either way :)

Yes no problem to revert on the n910w8. I updated to 5.1.1 through Odin and then did a full wipe and restored both my FireKat and Poprocks backups without any problems. Just had to use a custom kitkat or lollipop kernel to boot.

Sef kinda said it all about 5.1.1 lol...for once  i have nothing  to say haha.

I did restore my stock backup of 5.1.1 and flashed su 2.50...still wont boot.

Was worth a shot lol.

Im anxious to run 5.1.1 with the stock kernel but right now not possible unless you run without root....which would suck.

Hope someone can find a way to get root on stock

Yea thats cool... From here on out with any future android it's more than likely gonna need a custom kernel... I remember when chain fire dropped the first indication of that in a write up last winter... And now with him bailing I'm just glad you guys are rooted to at least run 5.1 if you want...stock would be optimal but at least it's root
