Agreed. Planned decay if you ask me. My wife's phone is a perfect example. She it's definitely not a power user. And it's slow and the battery is shit. I'll definitely get some for her new FK device ;)

Hey what's going on everyone? So I told Mega I decided to trade in my Note 4 yesterday to get the LG V10 and he asked that I'd stop by. Ask me any questions you might have; by no means am I an expert lol, but I will try to answer your questions.

So far I like the speed of the fingerprint reader, the manual controls on the camera are super duper nice. The Note 4 and LG V10 each have their pros and cons but I think both phones are super solid. There are a few things that bug me with the LG V10 like the light leak on the second screen (which you only see in the dark), this weird thing with the settings menu on the LG and the fact that the onscreen "blacks" are better on the Note 4.

I'll explain what I mean with the Settings: On both the Note 4 & LG V10, you can access the Settings from either the pulldown notifications or the app drawer. Like the Note 4 you can select from tab view or list view. The weird thing is that on the LG V10, the tab view will stick only when you access it from the pull down notification drawer. WTF? This is where you can see Samsung's polish on  their software is a bit better. Other than that, I stick with Nova for the launcher anyway so I can't speak much on LG's UI. I will say that I love the knock on feature, been wanting this forever!

Beyond that, I like the LG V10. It seems fast and snappy. Not too sure about the battery life yet but I'll have to see how that all works out. There's a promotion for a free 200 GB Micro SD so I'll definitely take advantage of that. Let me know what questions you may have. As I said I will try my best to explain my side of things.
I'm trying not to go into convulsions for not having root and probably not ever getting it lol.

Thanks for the write up Gato. I'd yours from Tmo? What's the stock bloat like?

Yup, mine is T-Mobile. I was able to remove some bloat but the following apps I was only allowed to disable:
App Source
Calendar (LG)
LG Health Agent
Lookout
Messenger (Facebook)
Mobile Money
T-Mobile Name ID
T-Mobile TV
Visual Voicemail

There were a couple LG apps I was able to uninstall but I failed to take note of which ones. Sorry!

I have noticed that some reviewers have complained that the LG V10 is heavy. I dunno, I guess in comparison it is heavier than some phones but come on...it's not that noticeable. Lol! I think the weight feels quite nice and the rubberized back makes it really grippy.

Thanks for the write up Gato.  Definitely want to see and hear about getting it unlocked and rooted and if we get that in att.

For sure let us know how that battery is and comparison of the camera vs the note 4

Since I don't have root and can't install my favorite adblocker Adaway, I might use this:
